Sparrow Quantum is a quantum photonics company based in Copenhagen, Denmark, specializing in the development 
of high-performance on-chip single-photon sources and light-matter interfaces for scalable quantum computing and secure communication systems. The company originated as a spin-out from Professor Peter Lodahl’s quantum photonics group at the Niels Bohr Institute and is grounded in more than 25 years of academic research in cavity quantum electrodynamics and photonic nanostructures.
Sparrow Quantum’s deterministic single-photon sources are based on self-assembled quantum dots embedded in photonic-crystal waveguides, producing near-unity indistinguishability and emission rates exceeding 90%. These sources provide a reliable foundation for photonic quantum computing, quantum key distribution (QKD), and quantum repeaters. The company’s integrated platform is designed to interface with other components in quantum photonic circuits and meet the performance demands for fault-tolerant quantum systems.
