Pixel Photonics GmbH is a German deep‑tech company founded in 2020 and headquartered in 
Münster. A spin‑off from the University of Münster, the company specializes in scalable superconducting nanowire single‑photon detectors (SNSPDs) integrated directly on photonic waveguides.
Pixel Photonics’ detector systems support multi‑channel configurations with broadband operation from the visible to the near-infrared spectrum. These systems offer low dark count rates, high timing resolution, and high count rates, making them ideal for quantum computing, quantum communication, LiDAR, bio‑imaging, and advanced microscopy applications.
All fabrication and packaging are completed in-house, and the company is actively expanding its reach into life sciences and diagnostic applications while continuing to support industrial and academic markets.
