The MDC is a two-fiber connector based on 1.25-millimeter ferrule technology. Three MDC ports can be accommodated within a panel opening traditionally used for one duplex LC adapter, increasing duplex-fiber density while retaining individual connector access.

The company’s MMC further extends the Very Small Form Factor approach into multifiber connectivity. It combines US Conec’s reduced-size TMT ferrule with a compact connector body and DirectConec push-pull actuation. This format is designed for high-fiber-count structured cabling, transceivers, on-board optics and other applications where conventional MPO-sized interfaces can restrict port density or access.

The smaller connector format is supported by corresponding ferrule, alignment, mating and service technologies. US Conec develops the ferrules, guide structures, adapters, connector housings and insertion and extraction features as parts of the same mechanical and optical interface. Its licensing and multisource agreements also allow selected connector platforms to be manufactured and supplied by additional industry participants.

On-board and co-packaged optical systems introduce a different connection geometry. US Conec’s PRIZM LightTurn technology provides a detachable multifiber interface for board-mounted parallel-optics modules. Its lensed structure turns the optical path between the fiber and the transceiver interface, allowing fiber attachment to be incorporated into compact module and circuit-board assemblies.

The company also develops PRIZM expanded-beam ferrules for applications where a larger collimated optical beam can provide a more tolerant interface in challenging environments. These products integrate fiber holes, lenses and mechanical alignment features within a molded ferrule structure and are available for equipment, industrial and other applications where connector contamination or repeated mating can affect conventional physical-contact interfaces.

US Conec’s work increasingly extends into fiber attachment for embedded and co-packaged optics, where the connector must interface with optical engines positioned on or near advanced switch and compute packages. These applications bring connector footprint, fiber routing, package assembly, test access and field serviceability into the same design discussion as optical performance. Supporting products include adapters, guide pins, fiber-array units, cleaning systems, termination equipment and inspection tools developed around the company’s connector and ferrule platforms. Together, these technologies address the complete physical interface from precision fiber alignment through installation, maintenance and repeated connection in the field.
